The Coffee Ball Class of 2025
When we reached the end of February and received an email about the opening of applications for the Coffee Ball Class of 2025, 3.k quickly agreed that the task was right up our alley. Our high school years have been characterized by great involvement in the school's many committees, and responsibility has never been a burden - on the contrary.
By Anna Ebro Bindslev, 3.k We applied to be the Coffee Ball Class because it is a great honor, but also because it is a fantastic joint task to undertake as a class towards the end of our high school years. The Coffee Ball is something very special. Whereas the AOC parties are informal, the girls plan their dress choices for the Coffee Ball several weeks in advance, and the conversations in the canteen revolve exclusively around this year's Coffee Ball theme and gala partners.
The common room was decorated in all the colors of the night with star balloons and glitter, and when the doors were opened, excited students poured in, giving hugs to the right and left - as if we hadn't just seen each other in the canteen just a few hours earlier. The evening offered live music, a dinner buffet and champagne, and the dance floor was filled with happy students dancing in the last rays of the evening sun.
True to tradition, lanciers were also danced - a tradition that every year brings students together in quadrilles filled with high heels thrown and laughter over the boys' lack of finesse in chasse and balancier. When the clock struck 10 p.m., the entire school gathered outside for a fabulous fireworks show under the stars, which exceeded all expectations. Here, students from across classes, years and grades gathered in small clusters and enjoyed the moment. It was truly an evening that truly put an end to three unforgettable years at Birkerød Gymnasium.
