MoMa or Birkerød Gymnasium?
Once a year, BG’s samlingssal turns into a buzzing art gallery as the 3u Visual Arts students prepare for their final exams, where they are required to exhibit and present their work.

Once the students are done transforming samlingssalen into Birkerød Gymnasium’s very own Museum of Modern Art, the exhibition is open to everyone. Teachers, staff, and students at BG have the opportunity to explore the exhibition and meet the artists behind the work.
The exhibition is more than just an opportunity to display and present students’ achievements and work in Visual Arts. The process of setting up the exhibition also trains students’ curatorial skills – an essential part of understanding how to communicate and present one’s body of work in a cohesive way to an audience.
The arts exhibition was open for BG students, teachers, and staff from the 2nd to the 3rd of April and was an incredible testimony to the amazing visual artists at BG. The Visual Arts program is hugely popular, and with good reason. At BG, we have the privilege each year of witnessing budding new artists, and several of our students go on to study arts and further hone their skills at various institutes of art and higher education.
As always, the exhibition was well-visited, with our resident 3u artist team busy at work, presenting, discussing, and explaining their artworks, choices, and the theories behind them. Congratulations to the graduating VA class of 2025 on successfully transforming BG into a fascinating and thought-provoking gallery. We enjoyed celebrating your achievements with you, and good luck on your final exams.
