BG celebrates the European Day of Languages!

BG celebrates the European Day of Languages. A celebration of linguistic diversity Every year on September 26th, we at BG celebrate the European Day of Languages – a day dedicated to honoring Europe’s linguistic and cultural richness.

The day encourages curiosity about European languages and cultures, and emphasizes that language is much more than communication – it’s also a way to explore culture and identity, and to open doors to the rest of the world.

The event took place during the lunch break in the canteen, featuring music, a language-themed Kahoot quiz, plenty of delicious cakes and tastings, flags, and an unbeatable atmosphere!

A huge thank you to BG’s language teachers for once again organizing a wonderful event and reminding us all that even here in Denmark, we are part of a larger and diverse Europe.

The European Day of Languages was established by the Council of Europe in 2001 and has since aimed to promote language learning and raise awareness of Europe’s many languages.
