Alumnus – Graduate and then what? Tuesday, January 28, 2025

On Tuesday, January 28, from 9:45 a.m. to 11:20 a.m., we will be holding our annual Alumni Event, where former BG Graduates will come by and talk about their sabbatical, education and working life after BG. Our current 3g students and 2HF students will have the opportunity to gain an insight into 'life after BG' and can ask questions to the panel.

The purpose is to give 2nd year and 3rd year students concrete pictures of what student life and possibly working life can look like. That learning does not happen if you only paint a glossy picture of student life or if you only talk about the academic material. Many students in all types of upper secondary education experience that no one talks about 'the difficult' and therefore feel pressure to be perfect themselves. Marie Djurtoft from Studievalg Danmark will also be present and contribute to the panel.

Therefore, it is important that you want to talk about the fun, the exciting and the difficult – in both your choice process (transition from high school) and the start of your studies. This assumes that you want to speak in front of an audience with a microphone.

Your profile: * You are a student from BG in 2018-2022 and have tried a little bit of everything. Write a few sentences about:

  • Your choice process. What did you do/are you doing to find out what you wanted to study? Please elaborate on the thoughts behind your choice of education/job (interest, inspired by others, other people's and your own expectations, etc.) and whether you have considered changing your choice.

  • What does your student life look like? Tell us, for example, how many hours you have per week and how much you have to study, and what the teaching method is like. Come in for the exam and collaborate with other students. For better or worse!

  • What framework does your study set for your life: For example, how much time you spend on your studies, where you live and how you manage your finances.

Send it to Karen Kyndesen Quinlan. Mail: kak@birke-gym.dk If you have any questions, please contact us for more information. Hope to hear from you.

We will offer lunch afterwards and the opportunity to meet up with both old teachers and students.
